PARKOUR

Recently, I learned that there is a sport or training exercise called Parkour. Parkour is like an obstacle course sport. The hard part though is that you have to do it with speed and efficiency. People who do Parkour are called Traceurs. Parkour is a basic curriculum of  vaulting, rolling, running, climbing, and jumping. Parkour can be practiced anywhere, but a place with lots of bumps and lumps will do better than most. in eastern martial arts moves very similar to those of Parkour have been taught.

Before World War I formal naval officer Georges Hebert traveled the world. While visiting Africa he was surprised by how the people of the indigenous tribes physical movement. He noted, "their bodies were splendid, flexible, nimble, skillful, enduring, and resistant but yet they had no other tutor in gymnastics but their lives in nature."
I really like the idea of this sport. But it could be bad to, like gym class or something. But it sounds like a lot of fun.
